Sacred Heart Parish is centred around the city of Broken Hill and Sacred Heart Cathedral, the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes. The cathedral also serves as the parish church for the city. The parish includes the towns of Wilcannia, Menindee, and Tibooburra, and their surrounding districts, here in the far west of New South Wales.

Sacred Heart has a long and proud tradition of Catholic education and of providing students with excellent learning opportunities. It was one of the first schools to be established in Broken Hill and has been in operation for over 120 years.
