Sacred Heart Parish is centred around the city of Broken Hill and Sacred Heart Cathedral, the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes. The cathedral also serves as the parish church for the city. The parish includes the towns of Wilcannia, Menindee, and Tibooburra, and their surrounding districts, here in the far west of New South Wales.

13 January: The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. The season of Christmas ends and the first season of Ordinary Time begins.
26 January: Australia Day.
6 February: Ash Wednesday. The season of Lent begins.
6 February: First day of term for children attending our local schools.
16 March: Passion Sunday (Palm Sunday). Holy Week begins.
20 March: Holy Thursday. Mass of the Lord's Supper 7.00pm
21 March: Good Friday. Morning Prayer 9.00am. The Passion of the Lord 3.00pm
22 March: Holy Saturday. Morning Prayer 9.00am. The Easter Vigil and Mass 7.00pm
23 March: Easter Sunday. Mass Ss Peter & Paul 8.00am and Cathedral 10.00am.
26 March: Ordination Mass.6.30pm. Bishop Toohey will ordain Deacon Marcelling No'oki priest for our diocese.
27 March: Mass of Thanksgiving 9.30am. Fr Marcellin No'oki will preside at Mass for the first time.
