“Behold this Heart which has loved people so much, but who do not want to love Me in return. Through you, my divine Heart wishes to
spread its love everywhere on earth.”
— Jesus to St Margaret Mary in a vision
In the middle of the seventeenth century, Margaret Mary Alacoque, a French nun, had a series of visions in which Jesus revealed to her his faithful and unconditional love for humanity. The message and the sign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is still a powerful sign of the gracious love of God for all who come to know him.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations to Priestly Ministry
This coming Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Easter is traditionally called “Good Shepherd Sunday.”
It takes its name from the fact that the gospel reading each year on this day is one of the Good Shepherd passages of John's gospel.
It is also the Day of Prayer for vocations to priestly ministry. You may like to join our parish in making this a special day of prayer
for our own diocese following the ordination of Fr Marcellin recently.
You can join us with the Prayer for Priestly Vocations.
Pope Benedict XVI has issued his annual Message. This year he has chosen as his theme “Vocations at the service of the Church on mission.”

Hosting Pilgrims before WYD2008
We are inviting parishioners, and especially families with teens and young adults, to be hosts to the pilgrims from France on their way to World Youth Day. If you are interested in extending hospitality and welcome to the young people, please contact Fr Paul at the parish office. (5/4/2008)
Ordination to Priesthood
Several hundred people gathered in Sacred Heart Cathedral last Wednesday evening for the ordination of Marcellin No'oki to the priesthood by Bishop Toohey. Twenty five priests from our diocese and from neighbouring dioceses were present. Members of Fr Marcellin's family were present, including his mother and brother, who had travelled from PNG to be present. On Thursday morning Fr Marcellin presided at the Mass for the first time. Standing by him was Bishop Toohey who along with the other priests concelebrated the Mass. Fr Marcellin will be on vacation before taking up his first appointment as assistant priest in the Forbes parish. We hope and pray that God's every blessing will go with him. (28/3/2008)

Our diocese is looking forward to hosting pilgrims in many of our parishes. We will need lots of help from parishioners and friends alike. If you would like to know more, and would like to be part of organising the Days in the Diocese for the pilgrims, you can contact Fr Paul at the parish office. (1/2/2008)
